1953 Spartanette

This project was a client restoration.  It was to serve as a guest house for a growing family.  When it came to us, the trailer was in poor shape, inside & out.  The original rear window had been removed and the original front window had been modified.  The exterior rub rails were body damaged.  Inside there was significant water damage that had been covered up with paneling that was subsequently painted.  The flooring had several layers of old vinyl and the original appliances had been removed and replaced several decades ago.  The project started small, and ended with taking the trailer almost to the frame.  Every part of this trailer was gone through as you can see below.  The result is a breathtaking example of Vintage-Modern at it's best.  Featured at Modernism Week with the renovation documented for a Special on HGTV's, "Rolling Gold".
